Marty Reiter

Owner & Principal, R7 Collective & Cox Interior

Marty Reiter is the Owner & Principal of the R7 Collective & Cox Interior, a Kentucky-based manufacturer of high-end millwork and building products, including custom moldings, solid hardwood doors, stair systems, trim, and custom millwork.

Acquired by 5M Group in December 2023, involving Cox Interior, Cox Shavings, and Cox Dimensions, the company operates from a large manufacturing campus in Campbellsville, KY, and serves builders, contractors, architects, and homeowners nationwide with craftsmanship-focused solutions.

As a co-founder & Principal of 5M Group (alongside his brother Mark), Marty oversees the strategic direction and integration of Cox Interior within the group's portfolio. At Cox Interior, the President reports directly to him, and he leads a dedicated team of approximately 350 employees. His primary focus is on operational excellence, including manufacturing efficiency, quality control, supply chain optimization, and driving growth through expanded regional locations and enhanced production capabilities.

Marty brings deep expertise in the construction and real estate sectors. He leads 5M Construction, a division of 5M Group, overseeing operations, strategy, and business development. With over 17 years in the industry, he has successfully delivered more than 20 mid-to-large scale projects in various construction and project management roles.

He studied Building Construction Management at Purdue University and has been leading 5M Construction since its founding in 2012.

Mark Reiter

Owner & Principal, R7 Collective & Cox Interior

Mark Reiter is an Owner and Principal of the R7 Collective & Cox Interior, a premier Kentucky-based manufacturer of high-end millwork and building products, including custom cabinets, countertops, doors (interior and exterior), trim, closets, vanities, custom millwork, moldings, stair systems, mantels, and related components. Acquired by 5M Group in December 2023 involving Cox Interior, Cox Shavings, and Cox Dimensions, the company operates from a large manufacturing campus in Campbellsville, KY, and serves developers, contractors, architects, builders, and homeowners nationwide with craftsmanship-focused interior solutions.

As a Co-Founder & Principal of 5M Group (alongside his brother Marty), Mark oversees strategic direction for the group's real estate, construction, and private equity divisions, including the integration of Cox Interior through 5M Ventures. His primary focus at Cox includes business development for the commercial division & driving sales of premium interior products - such as cabinets, countertops, doors, trim, closets, vanities, and custom millwork—to support new condo & hotel construction projects across the USA. 

Leveraging the integrated 5M platform (real estate expertise, in-house construction via 5M Construction, and manufacturing capabilities), he builds partnerships to deliver turnkey, high-quality solutions for multi-family & hospitality developments. Mark leads 5M Real Estate, overseeing the development team, brokerage team, property management department, and receivership operations. He serves as a Court-Appointed Receiver in Cook County and surrounding areas, while acting as the exclusive listing broker for a diverse portfolio of commercial and investment properties.

Mark attended Northern Illinois University, earning an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing.

Mikael Åkerberg

CEO, R7 Collective

Mikael Åkerberg is the CEO of the R7 Collective. Åkerberg joined Cox Interior in April of 2026 following 16 years with German cabinet manufacturer nobilia, where he most recently served as Chairman and CEO of nobilia North America. During his tenure, he was responsible for establishing and scaling the company’s presence in the U.S., developing and executing a greenfield go-to-market strategy resulting in a substantial market share.

Prior to nobilia, Åkerberg held executive leadership roles with global building products companies, including Moelven, Saint-Gobain, and Jeld-Wen, where he gained extensive experience across manufacturing, distribution, and international market expansion.

Kendra Cichanski

Head of Sale, R7 Collective

Kendra Cichanski is the Head of Sales for R7 Collective & Cox Interior. Previously, she held the same role at nobilia North America and spent nearly eight years leading the Multifamily Sales Division at Cabinetworks Group, where she built and scaled high-performing sales teams across multiple markets nationwide.

Earlier in her career, Cichanski worked as an interior designer, giving her firsthand insight into client needs and the environments they create.
